Ally Helman
Teacher
Ally Helman was born and raised in Southern California where she began dancing at a young age. Her professional training lead her to The School of American Ballet in New York City. Ally danced professionally with New York City Ballet and performed with Pacific Northwest Ballet. In addition to this, Helman has selected choreographed on both SAB and PNB students. Ally founded Ballet Project OC in 2019. Since its inception, Ally has taken on artistic leadership as well as choreographer and dancer roles. Ms. Helman has created over twenty new works for Ballet Project OC and continues to lead the company towards a successful future.
She Performed in over 20 Balanchine works at the New York City Ballet and School of American Ballet including the Principal role in Western Symphony 4th Movement, The Nutcracker, Elegy, Stars and Stripes, Symphony in C, and Brahms Schoenberg Quartet.
In addition to Ally’s professional ballet experience, she has been named a person of interest in the Orange Coast Magazine in 2021 and is growing her local impact alongside obtaining a Bachelor’s degree from Grand Canyon University in Business. Helman is an apart of the National Institute of Scholars and has her hand in multiple Orange County based nonprofits specializing in mental health, media, and community outreach.
