Sam Weeks
Teacher
Sam Weeks earned her BFA in Dance with Honors from Dominican University of California through the Alonzo King LINES Ballet BFA Program. While training, she worked with renowned teachers such as Alonzo King, Marina Hotchkiss, Maurya Kerr, and Joanna Berman, and performed in original works by choreographers including Alice Klock, Allie Papazian, Laura O’Malley, and Gregory Dawson.
After graduating in 2019, Samantha joined Visceral Dance Chicago under Nick Pupillo, performing for four seasons in works by Mike Tyus, Monica Cervantes, Danielle Agami, and Pupillo. She also choreographed for the company twice, with her work featured in Visceral’s WITHIN series, and toured with the company, including a performance in Monterrey, Mexico.
In Chicago, she also danced with Symbiosis Arts (Braedan Barnes), touring Florida and Southern California, and appeared with Fever Candlelight Series and Freckled Sky.
Now based in Southern California, Samantha has performed project-based work with several companies, including San Diego Dance Theatre under Terry Wilson, where she danced in works by Wilson and Matthew Armstrong. She also appeared with Selah Dance Collective in Santa Barbara, performing in Sound and Smoke by Meredith Ventura.
